Baker & Spice

They baked bread, cakes and pastries, made chocolates, jammed, preserved and made marmalade using seasonal fruits. Close links were forged with organic farmers who supplied the shop with unique rare breed meat and new recipes were created daily. The tiny shoebox-sized shop hosted dinner parties and organised intimate cooking classes with famous London chefs. Baker & Spice was about creating the most incredible magic with food, day after day.

The dedication to quality coupled with a unique style of presenting the food, made the establishment an iconic food shop in London with a reputation around the world.

Signature dishes, salads, sourdough breads and other baked goods developed in Baker & Spice have spawned imitations in restaurants and food shops worldwide. Several former employees have gone on to establish their own successful versions of the Baker & Spice concept.
